"Love's Voice"
March 2007
Love's voice, soft like distant thunder,
Rumbling certainty above all other,
Quiet conviction, Divine intervention,
Logic lost in revelation,
Gut grumbling certitude of butterfly bolts,
Sky searing lightning, constellations revolt;
Chaotic perfection knits her disguise
As love dances dreamers inside our eyes.
"Permanent Impermanence"
Feb 2007
You watch a rainbow for a while,
And for that while, you smile.
You smile
And smiling wile away
Dreams, friendships, years, days
Suspending fears in disbelief,
Moments immortal in golden leaf,
Warping nature, discarding beliefs
Dressing grief in garbs of relief,
Reason dethroned by Disney delusion
Logic surrendered to hypnotic illusion
Anna Karenina feels Cinderella scream
Treading cautious hope on untried beam
Willing nature forget forget,
and yet
and yet
No forever
Not yet?
You watch your rainbow for a while,
And in that while, you smile.
You smile,
And smiling
Wile away your light,
Feel colours tarnish as day greets night
Then the rain picks up,
Or the sun kicks in,
And all at once our seasons begin
Brown leaves crisp perpetual spring
Snowflakes flutter while winter sings
The final chorus of our glorious years
Quenching summer's thirst with autumn's tears
New roots fasten ancient fears.
